Everyone gathered to from all ends of the state to come together and celebrate there parents marriage. All of the kids decided to put together a surprise party for there parents and as a gift they ask me if I would take some portraits. This family was so much fun! What I loved the most was that everyone came together for just what family is Love! Everyone traveled from all ends of the state to celebrate love and family. Like I said I. Just. Love. This. Family.
What a beautiful day filled with beautiful people. Thomas and Nicole got hitched at One Maple Winery in Lewiston, Ca. A small little winery near the Trinity river. What a beautiful location for such a special day. The ceremony took place along side a babbling creek under a white arbor with the winery in the distance. The white chairs filled with family and friends that traveled from near and far to share this wondrous occasion.
A short walk amongst the beautifully landscaped grounds lead the guests and wedding party up to the reception site wich was located on the greens nestled between the vineyards grapes. The antique landscape flowers covered the tables with elegance.
What a wonderful day filled with Love, Family, and Friends. Here are some of my favorites from the day.
What a sweet little family. Annie Joy is just what her name implies. Her big sister is so in love with her, and so very proud to be a big sister. We had a great afternoon capturing this loving family. Here are a few of my favorites 🙂

It has been a bit since I shot my little guy. I found these little guy suspenders and I just had to get them. Well I think they were a good buy and the little guy sure didn’t mind sporting them.

Well our little girl is officially 4. Where has the time gone…… Things have been really busy around our house or shall I say houses. We have been moving selling our house moving into a rental waiting for the house we are buying to get all closed up. Things have felt a bit unsettled around these parts!!! But we are making it all happen and trying to do it with a smile. Here a few shots from a few months ago for Addi’s 4 year pics.
I just love watching them grow. I captured Isabel in her first few weeks of life, so little, so sleepy, and just so beautiful. Oh how time flies, she just celebrated her very first birthday. An it was simply smashing! Isabel had an absolutely smashing time destroying her cake. I have to say being on the other side of the lens is just about as much fun as smashing a cake! Happy Birthday sweet thing!
I find my self asking this question often. What was I created to do? I feel that I was created to help others when they are in need. I feel I was created to love. I feel like I was created to create. I feel like I was created to follow Gods plan for my life. I feel I was created to be a mom, a wife, a sister, and a friend. I feel like I was created to give everything I can give.
Life can at times feel so overwhelming and so very busy that we forget what we were created to do. For me, my life has been a constant whirlwind of unsettled mess! I have been running into a wall it seems every day. I know we all go through this up and down battle of life. I have found for me, when the walls go up and I feel like my life is out of control, it usually means I am not on the path of what I was created to do. I will admit even though hitting a wall smack dab in the face usually hurts and isn’t so much of a fun thing, it always leads me back to my roots. Those roots that make me, me. Those roots that are so
deep embedded into the ground and there is no way of getting rid of them.
Being an artist is a constant battle, a push and pull relationship. Kind of like the all time sibling rivalry. I don’t mean a battle in a bad kind of way, but a juxtaposition of thoughts, feelings, emotions, and ideas. Turning those inspirations into an understandable meaning is at times a creative battle lets say. This has got to be just about one of my favorite knock down drag outs to encounter on a daily basis. How do I convey what inspires me? Ah how I love what I have been created to do.
I am starting a new personal venture. One that doesn’t let the messes of life interrupt what I have been created to do, but fuel the fire that burns. I am on a journey to keep my fire carefully tended, let my mountain of fuel overflow. We all have been created to do something, and give something its our human nature. I start my journey today to be what I have been created to be!
