I find my self asking this question often. What was I created to do? I feel that I was created to help others when they are in need. I feel I was created to love. I feel like I was created to create. I feel like I was created to follow Gods plan for my life. I feel I was created to be a mom, a wife, a sister, and a friend. I feel like I was created to give everything I can give.
Life can at times feel so overwhelming and so very busy that we forget what we were created to do. For me, my life has been a constant whirlwind of unsettled mess! I have been running into a wall it seems every day. I know we all go through this up and down battle of life. I have found for me, when the walls go up and I feel like my life is out of control, it usually means I am not on the path of what I was created to do. I will admit even though hitting a wall smack dab in the face usually hurts and isn’t so much of a fun thing, it always leads me back to my roots. Those roots that make me, me. Those roots that are so deep embedded into the ground and there is no way of getting rid of them.
Being an artist is a constant battle, a push and pull relationship. Kind of like the all time sibling rivalry. I don’t mean a battle in a bad kind of way, but a juxtaposition of thoughts, feelings, emotions, and ideas. Turning those inspirations into an understandable meaning is at times a creative battle lets say. This has got to be just about one of my favorite knock down drag outs to encounter on a daily basis. How do I convey what inspires me? Ah how I love what I have been created to do.
I am starting a new personal venture. One that doesn’t let the messes of life interrupt what I have been created to do, but fuel the fire that burns. I am on a journey to keep my fire carefully tended, let my mountain of fuel overflow. We all have been created to do something, and give something its our human nature. I start my journey today to be what I have been created to be!
